About Cultivate…

Cultivate Kingston strives to bring our community together, connecting the people with the products, people, and businesses that make Kingston an incredible city to live, work and play.

Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Marci received the Chamber of Commerce Chair Award in 2018, the New Rotarian of the Year award in 2021and a Paul Harris Fellow in 2023. Her dedication to organizations such as The Art of Courage, Almost Home Kingston, Easter Seals and 4Paws Service Dogs is commendable, as she has actively supported their causes through event organization and volunteer work.

Who we are…

When we started working on the Behind the Mask fundraising book, the creative energy (and excitement) started to flow between the three of us, and we thought there was a good opportunity to expand the brand to the community and we have made it official - the three of us are now partners in Cultivate Kingston.

Marci has dedicated her time and passion to making a difference in her community through various organizations.

With her extensive experience serving on boards, committees, and coordinating fundraisers, she has proven herself as a committed and influential leader.

From 2005 to 2021, Marci excelled as the Owner and General Manager of Haven Home ClimateCare, where she skillfully managed a team of 50 employees. During her tenure, she also served as the President and Director on the Board of Directors for ClimateCare Cooperative from 2008 to 2017, demonstrating her strategic vision and expertise.

Marci's commitment to community extends beyond her professional achievements. Through her leadership, Marci has successfully raised over $300,000 for various not-for-profit and charitable organizations.

Once the proud owner of ReFINEd Kingston Magazine and our own Cultivate Kingston, Cathie has now transitioned into a new role as a creative consultant for the brand. With a rich background in the publishing and marketing industry and with a deep understanding of the brand's ethos, Cathie brings a wealth of experience and creative energy to the table. As a consultant, she leverages her keen eye for design, her strategic mindset, and her ability to connect with audiences to provide invaluable guidance and innovative ideas.

Drawing from her years of experience in shaping captivating content and building a strong brand identity, Cathie collaborates closely with Cultivate Kingston’s current team, injecting fresh perspectives and pushing boundaries to elevate the brand's creative endeavours. Her passion for storytelling, coupled with her deep connection and commitment to the community makes her an invaluable asset as she continues to inspire and shape Cultivates direction and future.
